If you’re trying to lose weight by forcing yourself to limit food portions by sheer will power, you may be working against natural appetite hormones. These hormones, primarily insulin, gherlin, and leptin, control your appetite more than any amount of will power you can muster. Instead of depriving yourself, eat more unprocessed food, eat more slowly, and stop eating when you’re full. Drinking more water may also help you to eat less, so that you don’t mistake thirst for hunger.
